Boater’s license requirement!!!!
Persons born on or after January 1, 1978, must successfully complete a boating safety course before operating a motorized boat, including personal watercraft, on Chincoteague waters. In accordance with Virginia state law, we offer a shortened course on site that is valid for the duration of your rental. If you are a frequent boater and were born after the above date, we recommend completing the regular boater’s safety course to ensure hassle free boating each outing.
