The wait is over—Sea Rocket Water Adventures is officially open for the season in Ocean City, Maryland, and Chincoteague Island, Virginia, starting Friday, May 23rd. After a successful soft launch this past weekend in Ocean City during the Boardwalk Rock Festival kicking off our new festival shuttling, we’re thrilled to welcome guests back for a full summer of adventure at both of our northern locations. Whether you’re a returning guest or planning your first visit, this Memorial Day Weekend marks the perfect time to kick off your Summer season with Sea Rocket Water Adventures.

Two Distinct Ocean City Locations, One Unforgettable Experience

Our Downtown Ocean City location is home to the iconic red, white, and blue Sea Rocket Speed Boat—a true Ocean City staple that has been delivering unforgettable rides for over three decades. Guests can enjoy a boat ride along the coast, with the chance to spot bottlenose dolphins, enjoy music, and take in the breathtaking Atlantic views. The speedboat rides are fast, fun, and perfect for all ages. For those seeking a sky-high adventure, our Parasailing trips offer panoramic views of Ocean City, providing a peaceful yet exhilarating experience above the water. Chincoteague Island: A Quiet Gem Now Open 7 Days a Week

Down the coast in Chincoteague Island, Virginia, Sea Rocket has quickly become a go-to for both locals and visitors looking to explore the island’s calm waters and natural beauty. After operating on weekends throughout early spring, we are officially open seven days a week starting this Friday, offering a full lineup of on-the-water activities. Our Double Decker Party Pontoon Boats are a standout favorite—complete with slides and two levels of seating, these boats are perfect for families, bachelorette parties, and group outings. For those looking to captain their own day on the water, pontoon boats, fishing skiffs, and jet skis are the way to go for rentals this summer.

Looking Ahead: Summer Events Not to Miss

As we head into peak season, there’s even more to look forward to. Ocean City will be hosting the Ocean City Air Show on Father’s Day Weekend, June 14–15, where guests can watch fighter jets soar overhead while enjoying a cruise on the water. Fourth of July Cruises are also on the horizon, offering front-row seats to the area’s most iconic fireworks display, all from the comfort of the Sea Rocket. Over in Chincoteague, all eyes will turn to the legendary Annual Pony Swim on July 30, a time-honored tradition that draws thousands of spectators.
